When the user is ready to resume the play, the saved game can be loaded from where it was left off. Some common SAV file extension problems include missing file associations, opening the file with a program that does not recognize the data and file corruption. Windows often associates a default program to each file extension, so that when you double-click the file, the program launches automatically. When that program is no longer on your PC, you can sometimes get an error when you try to open the associated file.
