Hi Marielle,

Is it only the Google website that you are unable to access? What about other websites? Does Google.com work in other web browsers?

Here are some suggestions for you to try:

1. Scan your computer for malware and other infections, using a program like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware

2. Click on Start, type in CMD and press Enter
In the command prompt window, try the following commands:

To clear the DNS Cache:

Type this as shown and press enter:
cmd /k ipconfig /displaydns

To ping the Google website and test connectivity:

Type this as shown and press enter:
cmd /k tracert www.google.com

3. Try resetting the browser settings and reinstalling the web browser you are having problems with.

4. Remove offending entries from your HOSTS file

Navigate to the following location on your C: Drive:
C:\\Windows\\System32\\Drivers\\etc\\

Open the HOSTS file using Notepad, look for any Google related entries and delete them, save the file.

Give them a try and let us know if they help.

Good luck,

James

Hi Marielle,

Try the below methods to resolve your issue:

Method 1:
  1. Open a new tab in Chrome
  2. Enter chrome://flags/ into the address bar
  3. Locate ‘Experimental QUIC protocol‘
  4. Using the drop-down menu, select disable
  5. Restart Chrome

Method 2:
  1. Open Chrome.
  2. On your browser toolbar, click the Chrome menu Chrome menu.
  3. Click More tools > Clear browsing data.
  4. In the box that appears, click the checkboxes for "Cookies and other site and plug-in data" and "Cached images and files."
  5. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. Choose beginning of time to delete everything.
  6. Click Clear browsing data.

I hope this helps.

Thank You!
Lokesh
